For a long time, there has been a desire for a valve with versatile directional properties for draft-free ventilation. AIRA valves now offer a high-quality Nordic solution with a wide throw pattern and throw pattern direction feature.
This time, we would like to introduce our Production development engineer, Olli Kekäläinen. He works on various production development projects and is also our quality manager. Over the course of eight years, Olli has been involved in many things—for example, he has worked as a cost estimator and as a designer in our ventilation design service for professional kitchens. He also did his diploma thesis for Climecon as part of his mechanical engineering studies at Aalto University.

Heikki is responsible for the maintenance services of professional kitchens, but the toolkit is also dug out when colleagues need help.
Toni, sales manager of professional kitchen maintenance services, ensures that customers’ hoods work as they should all over Finland. Having initially studied for a professional degree in building construction, Toni ended up in his current position for Climecon by chance when he wanted to change his career.

This time, we want to introduce you to our Sales Manager Henri Remes, aka Henkka. Henri is a well-known salesman in Finland’s construction industry, and he, too, has a long career at Climecon. He takes care of our contractor clients all over Finland. It is a matter of honor for him to take excellent care of his customers. He never runs out of jokes and card tricks.
Climecon joins the Science Based Targets initiative and commits to emission reduction targets to mitigate climate change. The most responsible and climate-wise companies have set a public goal that is in line with the Paris Climate Agreement. Climecon is one of the first construction product manufacturing companies to have approved a climate target through the Science Based Targets initiative, shortly SBTi.
An excellent tool for examining throw lengths and throw patterns in high spaces is the “Optimize air flow” function. With the “Optimize to floor/wall” button, the program calculates the airflow for the air terminal device so that the throw length reaches exactly the floor or wall. “Optimize to 1.8 m plane” measures the airflow to reach the limit of the living zone, which is 1.8 m high.

At the Kausala factory, you can find Climecon employees with long careers in our company. For example, Teppo Soini, the superman of the factories, is one of them. For almost 18 years, he has been in many roles at the factory and in product development. At the moment, he works as a production director, who ensures that the factories work as they should and that production is rolling. His area of responsibility includes the production of the factories in Kausala and Pihtipudas.

The Finnish boat Spirit of Helsinki crossed the finish line of the Ocean Globe Race last week and achieved a historic second place in the competition. The boat and crew arrived as the third boat at the finish line and were initially tied for winning in both the class and overall races. Boat Maiden Factor took the win after handicaps with a difference of 17 hours. Spirit of Helsinki won its own class (Sayula) brightly. The Finns spent 179 days, 18 hours, 32 minutes, and 45 seconds on the competition. The end of the sailing race also means that Tommi Uksila is back at the helm of Climecon.
