Get to know: Ville Wallendahr, Director of Professional Kitchens

Commercial kitchens’ Superman Ville is our walking knowledge bank. He has answers to all questions related to ventilation in professional kitchens, and internal IT consulting, for example, is also possible when a colleague needs help. The powerhouse who is dedicated to commercial kitchen solutions always has a twinkle in his eye and is ready to help others.

Ville joined Climecon in 2016 as Product Manager for the commercial kitchen business and is currently responsible for the entire commercial kitchen business in Finland and abroad. He has a long history in HVAC, commercial kitchen ventilation, food industry, and energy management. Ville describes himself as a pioneer with an unquenchable passion for future solutions in the construction industry.

“Building services technology is now on the threshold of changes. With the help of automation, energy cost savings are already sought at the design stage, especially energy consumption during use must be as low as possible without compromising air quality. Commercial kitchens and other premises with high levels of air pollution are under scrutiny in many places. In these facilities, the potential for energy savings is high and has not yet been exploited effectively. The solution to this is smart and demand-based systems,” Ville describes his views on the future.

In Ville’s opinion, the best thing about Climecon is its flexible organization, allowing space to find and develop new solutions. He likes to do extensive and complex projects where he can really challenge himself.

Ville’s free time is spent fishing, travelling, and playing various ball games. In addition to technology, his critical eye and taste focus on quality in terms of food, which is why his colleagues describe him as a true food enthusiast. As a dog owner, Ville’s everyday life is never dull either. The three-legged Finnish rescue dog Urho is a familiar sight at our office, and he has captured the hearts of all Climecon employees.
