Get to know: Director of air terminal devices business Pekka Huhtela

This time, we get to know our air terminal devices business Director, Pekka Huhtela, who has also worked in Climecon for a long time. Pekka, originally from Oulu, located in Northern Finland, is involved in the entire chain when innovating and developing new products. He meets many clients, and with a “serious, but not serious” attitude, meetings are taken care of, for example, in the Padel court.

Courage leads to innovation

By education, Pekka is an indoor climate technology engineer and has also completed an innovator training program. Pekka also wants to be open to all thoughts and ideas from outside the industry. According to him, the best part of the job is innovating something new, which Climecon is known for. He is involved in the entire development process of a new product, including product ideation, productization, marketing, sales, and management. A great example of this is the development of the new LINE valve, in the ideation of which Pekka was involved from the beginning in cooperation with design professionals and our experts.

“In addition to valves made of steel, the LINE series has valves made of opal glass and Accoya wood. It was interesting to be able to develop a new ventilation product from new and unprecedented materials in this field,” commented Pekka.

The good work atmosphere and the atmosphere of working together get praise from Pekka as well. “No one is left alone here, but a colleague is always helped,” he continues. He also takes care of the condition and working atmosphere of the Climecon residents by piloting our sports cube. In his free time, Pekka is active in the gym and enjoys the outdoors while fishing or doing various outdoor activities.

Vent. X tips – adding obstacles

By modeling the obstacles in the space, their effect on the throw pattern of the selected air terminal device and the air movement can be studied. This information helps to choose the right air terminal devices for the space and to place them optimally so for example, the airflow turning down from the barrier does not cause draft problems.
