Meet the team: Samppa Rytkönen

This time we want to introduce one of our wonderful team members from Kausala branch: our Quality Manager Samppa Rytkönen, who makes sure that we indeed deliver what we promise. Samppa is not only a trustworthy and liked colleague but also Climecon’s invincible karaoke king who magically gets everyone in the audience rushing to the dance floor.

Samppa started his journey at Climecon a few years ago as a fixed-term Quality Engineer. Luckily, we managed to make him stay in the Climecon family and nowadays, besides working as a Design Engineer he takes care of the standards and quality systems of our products.

Most of his workdays Samppa spends tailoring Climecon’s products for customers’ special needs. Samppa states versatile assignments as the best thing about his job: “There are rarely two similar special requests.” He mentions that it has also been great to have a chance to work with pretty much the whole Climecon crew. “We have a very professional and talented group of people working both at the production sites and at the head-office”, Samppa praises his co-workers. “The team is both passionate and flexible.”

“The Climecon-team is both passionate and flexible.”

As a Quality Manager Samppa understands the importance of trust and follows strictly Climecon’s guideline: “When we promise, we deliver.” He underlines that empty promises bring nothing but trouble regardless of the situation. “If I’m not sure whether something can be done or not, I do not promise to do it”, he sums up.

Samppa recently returned to work from summer holiday, during which he found a new favorite hobby: disc golf. When the weather gets cold again he plans to take his hobbies back inside and head to the gym. Fortunately, getting back to the desk from the sunny disc golf courses did not feel too bad either: “It is nice to get to work when you have enough tasks awaiting”, Samppa states.

Good lighting is of paramount importance to kitchen staff, as it directly impacts occupational safety, work efficiency, and well-being. Adequate and correctly directed lighting reduces the risk of occupational accidents, such as those associated with knife handling and working with hot surfaces. When the light is evenly distributed over the workstation, and there is no glare, even a long working day does not strain the eyes. OptiLumo luminaires for hoods and ventilation ceilings are perfect for professional kitchens and offer particularly suitable lighting for kitchens and the ideal color temperature for cooking.
