Meet the team: Merja Virtanen

We would like to present an energetic woman at the dispatch department of Kausala, Merja Virtanen. Merja has been a part of the Climecon story from the very beginning.

Merja thinks back how there were only two women and some men working at the factory of RC-Linja. The product range consisted at that time mainly of dampers and roofs. Today we do a lot and Climecon has over 50 employees. Merja’s job description has changed over the years but the feeling has always been good and welcomed.

In Kausala, Merja ensures that orders are delivered as they should. The good spirit is visible at the workplace. Merja likes that she can do her job in her own way and she enjoys the feeling that she is a part of the company. No two days are the same at the dispatch department.

“If something goes wrong, it will be sorted out”

Merja’s energetic attitude and way of doing things continue in her spare time by playing with her grandchildren and by swimming and jogging.

From the first calculation, conducted in 2019, emissions have decreased by as much as 45%, which is equivalent to 1,730 tons of carbon dioxide. This amount is equivalent to driving 12.4 million kilometres by car, or almost three thousand people making a round trip from Helsinki to Munich each year. We publish our carbon footprint for the previous year and a summary of the highlights of our sustainability work annually.

Five reasons to choose OptiLumo luminaires for professional kitchens

Good lighting is of paramount importance to kitchen staff, as it directly impacts occupational safety, work efficiency, and well-being. OptiLumo luminaires for hoods and ventilation ceilings are perfect for professional kitchens and offer particularly suitable lighting for kitchens and the ideal color temperature for cooking.
