Improving the wellbeing of the Baltic sea with FINO valves

Climecon started cooperation in the beginning of 2020 with John Nurminen Foundation, an organization devoted to the wellbeing of the Baltic Sea. The uncompromised attitude and concrete actions of the foundation were dealbreakers for us Climeconians.

“The uncompromised attitude, responsibility over nature and sea as well as the concrete projects for Baltic sea well-being and restoration were regarded as the main reasons to begin cooperation with John Nurminen Foundation”, Tommi Uksila, the CEO of Climecon, recollects.

In addition to supporting the foundation, the FINO supply air valves were chosen the Baltic sea product of Climecon’s selection.

FINO marks the first ever product – and hopefully not the last one – in the ventilation field to be directly connected with restoration of the Baltic sea. It is a stylish and finished valve mostly for residential ventilation, but this charitable product can also be found in hotels and offices.

Baltic Sea protection as a part of Climecon’s sustainable operations

Paving the way with innovations in the building and ventilation industry is quintessential for Climecon. We actively develop solutions for high-quality indoor air in residential, business, and office premises, more efficient ventilation in professional kitchens and corrosion-free ventilation in data-centers.

We also lead the way in how an organization can affect environmental well-being with their own actions. “These were the basis that made selecting John Nurminen Foundation as our partner a nearly obvious way for us to put our sustainability values into practice”, Uksila sums up.

We have always aimed at minimizing our environmental effect and in 2019 we decided to take things one step further. “We started reaching for carbon neutrality which we accomplished in May 2020. The work for carbon neutrality and environmental restoration continues and we will focus on developing low to zero emission business models”, Uksila tells.

Climecon is known for its “getting things done”-attitude, but sometimes it’s time to take a break. Climecon CEO Tommi Uksila will participate in the Ocean Globe Race 2023 sailing competition around the world. During Tommi’s sailing, Mikko Erikson, head of the sales team and head of the air purification business, will act as the CEO’s deputy. Mikko has been in the Climecon team for a long time and is certainly a familiar face to many. Tommi’s absence does not cause changes in Climecon’s services or operations.
