Get to know: Production development engineer Olli Kekäläinen

This time, we would like to introduce our Production development engineer, Olli Kekäläinen. He works on various production development projects and is also our quality manager. Over the course of eight years, Olli has been involved in many things—for example, he has worked as a cost estimator and in our ventilation design service for professional kitchens. He also did his diploma thesis for Climecon as part of his mechanical engineering studies at Aalto University.

The role of a production development engineer includes versatile and varied tasks related to production process development. He works in close cooperation with, for example, factory management, production planning, and other personnel. Olli appreciates the development opportunities offered by his work and Climecon:

“It’s interesting to be able to develop processes and own expertise in versatile tasks. The best thing about this job is the opportunity to influence things,” Olli describes.

Olli emphasizes cooperation and a good team spirit: “Climecon’s team is full of nice guys who help you when you need it.” His colleagues praise Olli’s way of working. Olli is a pedantic type who does not lack know-how, whether the topic is production development opportunities or hockey.

In his spare time, he likes reading, attending concerts, and watching hockey. When it comes to music and reading, he says his taste varies. Olli, who is also a hockey fan, knows sports statistics so well that at least no one from Climecon’s team would challenge him to a quiz.
