The spotlight design of the luminaire and its specially shaped geometric lens direct light efficiently onto the work area while minimizing glare. The stainless steel surfaces of
the hood function as part of the light distribution, enabling even illumination across the entire workspace. The adjustable lens angle allows users to fine‑tune light distribution according to the needs of the kitchen.
The luminaire meets the requirements of the EN 12464‑1 standard for professional kitchen lighting. An exceptionally high colour rendering index of Ra ≥ 95 ensures that food and ingredients appear natural and true to colour, improving working comfort.
OptiLumo2’s borosilicate glass lens withstands high temperatures, sudden temperature changes, and cleaning agents, while also enhancing safety in extreme conditions. The smooth glass surface supports high hygiene standards and is easy to keep clean.
Installation and maintenance have been simplified even further. Thanks to quick connectors, the luminaire can be replaced rapidly without special tools, and a service life of up to 100,000 hours makes OptiLumo2 actually maintenance‑free throughout the entire life cycle of the kitchen. The sealed structure withstands water washing, and the new seamless ceiling surface facilitates cleaning while giving the hood a refined, finished appearance.
Lighting that adapts to use and experience
In terms of control, OptiLumo2 is equipped as standard with DALI‑2 + SwitchDIM functionality, ensuring compatibility with the most common lighting and building automation systems. An available RGB version allows free adjustment of colour temperature and colour, as well as mobile control. This makes OptiLumo2 an excellent solution for show kitchen applications, where lighting is an integral part of the customer experience and brand identity.
If required, a DiaLux lighting simulation can be prepared for OptiLumo2 projects already at the design stage, facilitating correct dimensioning and providing confidence in the performance of the lighting solution.
