Get to know: Technical designer and cost estimator Jarkko Hyvönen

Jarkko works at Climecon, specializing in kitchen ventilation design and cost estimation, with a particular focus on export projects, many headed to the Middle East. Working with professional kitchen ventilation systems is varied and full of challenges – every site is unique, and each client has individual needs. This technical design expert is originally from Pihtipudas, where our professional kitchen ventilation solutions are also manufactured. In his free time, Jarkko enjoys playing ice hockey, a true passion of his.

Originally trained as a sheet metal welder, Jarkko now applies his hands-on background to designing a variety of kitchen solutions. “The best part of my job is the challenge – and the amazing feeling when you find a solution that makes the kitchen ventilation work perfectly.”

“The best thing about working at Climecon is the colleagues and the great community – and, of course, having a fair and supportive employer.”

Ice Hockey – a Way of Life

Outside of work, Jarkko spends much of his free time on the ice. Hockey is not only his own passion but also a shared interest with his children. He coaches 12–13-year-old players. “The best part of coaching is seeing the kids develop – their successes, their setbacks, and how they grow from them,” Jarkko says.

Jarkko’s dedication has been recognized: he has received the Respect the Game certificate from the Finnish Ice Hockey Association, an honor awarded by the club to a coach who promotes positivity within the team and encourages players both on and off the ice. He is now actively involved in building a new club from the ground up.

Manage life cycle costs effectively – energy-saving smart ventilation

When new systems are put out to tender, the purchase price alone does not reveal the total cost of the investment. The Life Cycle Costs show which solution is truly sensible both economically and environmentally. When solutions are designed to be long-lasting and energy-efficient, the building consumes less energy, emissions decrease, and indoor air quality remains high year after year.
