The effect of adjustment and temperature in throw pattern design

To offer you the most reliable and precise help with throw pattern modeling, we have once again made improvements to our Vent.X Selection tool. Now you can observe the behavior of the throw pattern in realistic circumstances while taking into consideration adjustment and air temperature.

Throw pattern modeling and the fluctuations of air temperature

The long-awaited function is here: You can now examine a terminal’s throw pattern in different room and supply air temperatures. Temperature and its fluctuations affect the throw pattern notably, so by designing the throw pattern carefully air draught can be minimized in the room.

The picture above illustrates how the throw pattern of CLIK changes when the supply air temperature is lowered from 21 °C to 17 °C. The throw pattern can be modeled extremely precisely because Vent.X tool utilizes tested settings of the terminals.

The standard values for temperatures in Vent.X throw pattern designer are 21 °C and can be modified in “Diffuser” and “Room” options. The values are not limited to integers, so you can use as exact temperatures as you wish.

Observe the effect of adjustment setting

Quite often room conditions change and terminals need some sort of re-adjustment. With some of our products you have a chance to examine how the adjustment setting affects the throw pattern.

Adjustment setting in the selection of the air diffusers

After selecting a product, size and air flow on the landing page of Vent.X, the “Adjustment setting” option activates and you can select the control setting of your choice. For those products that are still yet to have this option in Vent.X, the control settings are presented in a fully open position.

Manage life cycle costs effectively – energy-saving smart ventilation

The costs of a construction project do not end when the building site is completed. The real expenses accumulate over the entire lifecycle of the building: from energy use, maintenance, and the lifespan of the systems. When new systems are put out to tender, the purchase price alone does not reveal the total cost of the investment. The Life Cycle Costs show which solution is truly sensible both economically and environmentally. When solutions are designed to be long-lasting and energy-efficient, the building consumes less energy, emissions decrease, and indoor air quality remains high year after year.
