We use steel with a recycled content of over 90% in our professional kitchen products

Responsible material choices are an integral part of the development of our professional kitchen products. The stainless steel used in our equipment is produced within a system that supports the circular economy, making extensive use of recycled raw materials and energy‑efficient processes. As a result, the recycled content of the steel clearly exceeds 90%.

According to an independent ISO 14021 verification, the average recycled content of stainless‑steel slabs produced by our supplier in 2024 was 95.3%.

Steel is a 100% recyclable material

Steel is a unique material, as it is 100% recyclable without any loss of quality. At the end of its life cycle, steel can be fully returned to use as a raw material and reused in the production of new products. This makes steel an excellent choice from a sustainability perspective, as it reduces the need for virgin raw materials.

Local and responsible partners

The domestic content of our products exceeds 85%, and the majority of our subcontractors, suppliers, and other partners are based in Finland. Trust and dignity, quintessential to the Nordic mentality, are present at every step of our operations.

We aim to source stainless steel from responsibly operating suppliers whose production makes extensive use of recycled materials. In stainless‑steel production, recycled content of over 90% can be achieved, resulting in a carbon footprint that can be up to 75% lower than the industry average.

A sustainable choice for professional kitchens

By using high‑recycled‑content stainless steel in our professional kitchen equipment, we combine long service life, excellent hygiene, and responsible material choices. In this way, we support our customers’ sustainability goals and help build a more sustainable future across the entire product life cycle.
