Product development is more than just new products

Renewal and continuous product development are our thing. We have invested in them throughout the company’s history because we want to offer the industry’s most innovative and human-centric solutions. For us, this means that the products are always high quality, energy-efficient, and responsible, but they are also stylish and easy to install.

We are involved with indoor air throughout our lives, so air quality is not insignificant. We design our solutions and products in a human-centric way so everyone can live and breathe. Today, people also pay more and more attention to details, and in product development, we have paid special attention to product design, taking into account even the smallest details.

However, product development is much more than just new products. For example, we are constantly developing new features for our products. A good example is the new sizes of our air terminal devices and features that facilitate installation, such as the VIVA-S mounting strip. The collection of VIVA and SAGA wall diffusers also expanded with SL models that do not have a plenum box. These products are particularly suitable for repair construction projects.

Responsibility is a big part of our product development work

Responsibility is a big part of our product development, making us one of Finland’s first carbon-neutral companies. We already started goal-oriented work against climate change in 2019 and are constantly working towards it. We strive to choose the materials of our products with their environmental impact in mind. For example, plastic components are now made from biocomposite instead of plastic, which is a more environmentally friendly alternative. We have also developed carbon-neutral valves LINE Accoyas.

We also offer EPD-verified ventilation products. The EPD is a third-party verified life cycle assessment that extensively presents construction products’ carbon footprint and environmental impact. EPD-verified products already include some of our air terminal devices, hoods for professional kitchens, and roof hoods.

Responsibility also includes more than that in product development. Optimised package sizes and packaging materials are also ways to operate as responsibly as possible in product development. We will reduce the use of packaging materials, add recycling labels to packaging, and switch to using recyclable materials as much as possible. Our products to be painted are surface treated in a new way that consumes less paint and leaves the surface looking finished.
