New carbon neutral product: LINE Accoya

We are proud to launch the first carbon-neutral, certified terminals for ventilation: the Accoya wooden valves in the LINE series for residential applications.

The certification used the strict criteria of the South Pole’s Climate Neutral Label, which is based on international standards and aims for a long-term impact. In addition to our own solar power plant, we keep the carbon dioxide emissions from the manufacture of our products to a minimum by using green electricity and new, efficient production technologies. Over its entire life cycle, LINE Accoya emits only 2.53 kg of carbon dioxide, which is compensated by us.

Accoya® offers the construction industry an environmentally friendly, sustainable, and visually stylish option. The raw wood is sourced from sustainably cultivated, certified pine forests. Accoya’s unique, ecological vinegar treatment makes the wood strong and durable. Therefore, it is also suitable for demanding conditions, such as saunas, where the material is exposed to moisture and heat.

With responsible partners towards carbon neutrality goals

Carbon-neutral solutions are needed in construction and renovation. “Climecon is a pioneer in responding to the growing need to minimize carbon emissions in the construction industry. In addition to offering responsible solutions, we aim to be the responsible building services partner for our customers. Environmentally friendly values are in the DNA of our company ” summarizes Tommi Uksila, CEO of Climecon.

Indeed, launching a carbon-neutral product was not merely an individual project for us. We achieved carbon neutrality as early as spring 2020. Our work for continuous emission reduction has not gone unnoticed. The Kesko Group selected us as their sustainability partner for 2021 among all of its co-operation companies in building and construction fields.
