The renovation was exceptional and demanding because the historical value of the building had to be respected. The exterior of the building was kept unchanged and the rooms changed in previous renovations were restored to the model of 140 years ago. For example, in previous renovations, the suspended ceilings in the rooms have been lowered and decorations remained under the boards. Displacement DINO diffusers were installed in the rooms because they can be seamlessly integrated into the wall surface. In this way, the roof was preserved in its original style. In addition, DINO products adapt to changes in the life cycle of the space due to an optimized and adaptable throw pattern.

ROX nozzle ducts were chosen for the project to keep a huge glass ceiling clean of frost, water, and ice. Thanks to the directable nozzles, the entire glass surface of the roof is flushed, without forgetting elegance.

“We chose Climecon’s products because they are high quality and stylish. Also, previous good experiences with Climecon’s products and the available design support for selecting air terminal devices and hoods were important selection factors.”

Kimmo Tahkola, HVAC designer

Our design service helped with selecting suitable air terminal devices and hoods. The model room design function of the Vent.X selection program received a special mention from the HVAC designer.

The location of the kitchen was changed from street level to the north end of the building. Kitchen spaces are narrow and low, so the designer was happy to find a solution for a 300 mm high hood from our StandardPlus hood collection.
