Description
Energy savings with demand controlled forced air heating
The ECO system can be programmed by defining room-specific comfort temperatures and pre-scheduling heating periods for each day. For example, living rooms and bedrooms can be heated only at the times when they are used, saving energy on heating rooms that go with lesser use.
Room temperature control is always case-specific, and the smart ECO system learns when to start the heating to reach the desired comfort temperature at the right time. This allows the resident to enjoy a comfortable temperature exactly when they need it.
The ECO series is suitable for both a busy, urban lifestyle and a more routined everyday life. The resident can switch the heating on or off on the go with the handy home/away function or control the room temperature in almost real-time.
ECO as a part of building automation
Because the system combines supply air and heating in one package, the number of overlapping systems can be minimized. This simplifies the amount of building services.
The ECO forced air heater system can be connected to building automation via Modbus. This allows the heating to be controlled through building automation, as well as seeing the temperature of each room and the set temperature values.
ECO series – forced air heating in passive houses
The energy requirement of heating in passive houses is only 20–30 kWh/GSM and 10–20 W/m2 in rooms. The power demand for heating is small, so the accurate ECO forced air heating system that reacts quickly to changes is very suitable for these houses in terms of energy efficiency.
